FINGER SUCKING
Finger, thumb and tongue sucking can produce deformation of the teeth and supporting bone. An open bite and protrusion of the front teeth usually occurs. The habit should be stopped before the age of 7 or 8. If caught early, cessation of the habit often results in a natural correction of the bite.
